{"id":632,"date":"2014-01-19T20:31:34","date_gmt":"2014-01-20T02:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/decidedlygrim.net\/forlorn\/?p=632"},"modified":"2014-09-04T12:00:25","modified_gmt":"2014-09-04T17:00:25","slug":"box-factory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/decidedlygrim.net\/forlorn\/?p=632","title":{"rendered":"Box Factory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Date of Visit: January 6, 2013<\/p>\n<p>This factory was built in 1921 as a paper mill and packaging producer for a major American snack maker, who used the facilities until 1984. \u00a0The factory is interesting because it&#8217;s built along a canal and utilized hydroelectric power. There are still remnants of the original canal works along the outside, though I need to go back and get better photographs of them. \u00a0It was still used for printing up until fairly recently but it now stands empty. \u00a0It&#8217;s in excellent condition and could be easily reused without much renovation. \u00a0As far as factories are concerned, it wasn&#8217;t one of the more interesting ones I&#8217;ve explored since it lacked machinery, but it had some picturesque qualities as you can see.<\/p>\n<p><!-- default-view.php -->\n<div\n\tclass=\"ngg-galleryoverview default-view\n\t ngg-ajax-pagination-none\t\"\n\tid=\"ngg-gallery-248b9c01d68ae30908363a519e25e790-1\">\n\n\t\t<!-- Thumbnails -->\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"ngg-image-0\" class=\"ngg-gallery-thumbnail-box\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tngg-4-columns\t\t\t\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ngg-gallery-thumbnail\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/decidedlygrim.net\/forlorn\/wp-content\/gallery\/paper-factory\/img_5383-5.jpg\"\n\t\t\t\ttitle=\"This wheel was manufactured by the Dayton Greenhouse Mfg.
